Surgery Hours

The practice registers both private and National Health Service patients. Details of charges for private patients are available on enquiry.

The reception staff are available between 8 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on weekdays. The doctors' individual surgery hours vary. Please ask at reception if you need specific information. The front door is locked at 6 p.m.

Please call at reception or telephone during surgery opening hours only. As Monday morning is the busiest time of the week, please avoid telephoning then for non urgent appointments or enquiries. It is usually much easier to telephone the surgery in the afternoon.

Please make it clear if your problem requires urgent attention. If you are acutely ill and need emergency medical attention, your problem will be dealt with that day, but not necessarily by your own doctor. For routine matters please arrange to see your own doctor, who will know your medical history. Try to make follow-up appointments in advance.

How to make an appointment

You are registered with the practice and therefore you are free to consult any of the doctors, but for continuity it is better you see the same doctor each time (except in an emergency). You can make an appointment for the doctor or nurse by ringing 01372 722707.

An appointment is for one person only. If you are unable to attend your appointment, please let us know. Urgent problems will be seen on the same day, but you may have to wait at the surgery whilst we fit you in around or after booked appointments. You may not always be able to see the doctor of your choice.

All consultations are by arrangement only.

Home Visits

Please telephone the surgery before 10 a.m. if possible. Home visits will be carried out when the doctor considers the medical condition of the patient makes this necessary. Generally speaking, this would be when travel to the surgery by car or taxi would endanger the patient's health. A "drop-off" point is available at the surgery to help patients in this respect.

Telephone Advice

The doctors hold a telephone surgery every day. If you ask at reception, the receptionist will give you a suitable time to contact the doctor for any results or medical advice.
